Jarrod and Rawlins officially announced its charity campaign ‘Dine for Charity’ at its Damansara Heights outlet with the campaigns’ beneficiary and charity partner, the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM). The officiating event saw the check handover of a total collection to date, of RM23,300.
Dine for Charity is an effort by J&R to create a platform for diners to contribute funds in the fight against cancer. Its inaugurating event on the 26th of May, saw patrons purchasing a minimum pledge ticket of RM180 which entitled them to a buffet dinner. During the dinner party, an auction was held with total collections going to NCSM. Amongst the items contributed for the auction were overnight stays on the luxury yacht, Baby Tonga, and City Golf packages.
“We are touched by the support of our friends and customers in helping us make ‘Dine for Charity’ a success! These days, I think its safe to say that most people have had a family member, friend or even acquaintance thats been affected by this disease. I hope our small contribution will make for some comfort and support in the lives of those living with cancer,” said Denis Rawlins, Director of J&R.
As an on-going charity collaboration between J&R and NCSM, customers will have an opportunity to dine and give back to charity by ordering the charity dish on the menu with proceeds from the purchase going towards NCSM. Also, in the J&R outlet in Damansara Heights is the NCSM collection boxes which gives customers and easy option of donating upon visit.
